2. Department Policies for J199 and J200 : Thesis 

a. J199 proposals are approved by the Faculty as a whole and not single-handedly by the J199 professor;

b. Policies for thesis partnerships:

     i. Studies that require only a CONTENT ANALYSIS as primary methodology will be single-student thesis;

 

     ii. Students proposing an investigative thesis should have taken J105; if thesis is composed of 2 authors/partners, then at least

         one of the two (2) students should have taken J105; 

 

c. During the current government administration, no investigative thesis on EJK or the drug war will be allowed for the sake students'

    safety; 

 

d. Faculty members will have the option of choosing which thesis to advise, based on their own expertise. Only regular faculty can be
    advisers.

 

e. J200 students are required to submit a passable first draft on or before a week before deadline for dropping if they wish to
    graduate that semester. No guarantees will be made by the J200 professor if drafts are submitted beyond this date. No
    guarantees if draft is not passable.
